As we see the back of the dark and cold winter I wanted to update you on some improvements we have been making at Woburn House over the past 6 months.
New look for Woburn Hall
We have now completed the upgrade to the Woburn Hall which began in the summer. The new look is very clean, fresh and modern and gives you much more scope to brand the space for your event. This includes
- New décor made up of white and grey
- New remote controlled blinds giving you the ability to use the stunning light or blackout the room as required throughout your event
- New larger, higher staging which places the lectern on the stage with the top table and giving more flexibility for layouts
- New lectern with forward facing monitor for your logo or event title
- New lighting providing better light and more control
- New coloured LED uplighting and downlighting and stage lighting options

New names for our meeting rooms
We have renamed some of our meeting rooms to celebrate the wonderful local area around us and the commissioned photos we have on the walls of the rooms. They are as follows
Main Hall has become Woburn Hall
Boardroom has become UUK Boardroom
Meeting Room 1 has become Foster Room
Meeting Room 2 has become Bloomsbury Room
Mezzzanine Room has become Brunswick Room
Committee Room has become Tower Room
Woburn Foyer and Tavistock Room have remained the same
New pricing and packages
We have put together some exciting all-encompassing day delegate packages to make planning and budgeting for your event easier. Our rates are very competitive as you would expect from us and include everything you need to ensure your delegates are well fed and watered. We have 3 different level packages to suit the budget and needs of your event and all packages come with AV equipment included. Packages start from as little as £45 + VAT per person.
In not such happy news I have to announce that our room hire and catering rates will be increasing from April 1st 2018. We have frozen our room hire and catering rates since 2015 in the face of increasing costs which we can no longer sustain. Our room hire rates will increase by 14% but for some bookings it may actually work out cheaper for you (see below). Our catering prices are increasing by 10%. Since June 2016 food prices have increased by around 15% with some items (such as fish) increasing by as much as 30%. So we have had to increase our prices but have kept this as low as we can. All future room bookings and catering already confirmed will be honoured at the current price. We will have the new menus available shortly.
Wave goodbye to projector hire costs
With the ever increasing need for use of our LCD projectors for meetings and events, we have decided that we will no longer charge clients for the use of these. This will result in a £120 saving per room for all bookings which required use of a projector. Take this as a little thank you from us.
New Woburn House website
As more and more of us are working on the move we have updated the Woburn House website and created a new mobile friendly version for tablets and smart phones. We have also added an online chat facility which is linked directly to the team so if you are browsing the website and have a question please ask away! New members of the team
Magda and I are still available to help you with all your needs but I am pleased to welcome Tofayel Ahmed to the team. If you call the office you are likely to speak to Tofayel who will be very happy to help you with availability and bookings. Magda will be continuing to ensure your arrangements are set up perfectly for you prior to your arrival.
Our AV technician Michael has unfortunately left us for pastures new. He decided to take the big step and move to Australia which we can forgive him for and of course wish him well. We have replaced Michael with Shaumayne who is a very experienced AV tech and a great addition to the team. Shaumayne will be on hand to help you with any operational or AV needs throughout your event to ensure everything runs without a hitch.
